Absolute Write	An excellent resource for all kinds of writers, written in a friendly voice and chock full of good stuff, including newsletters, writing software, classes, interviews, columns, etc.
Ask Oxford	"Passionate about language." Need a quote or a foreign word? Look here. Oxford also features experts' answers, word games, and a British version of the site.
Freelance Writing	"Helping Freelance Writers to Succeed Since 1997." Includes contests, newsletters, articles, jobs, and other resources.
Journalist Express	"Designed for busy journalists." Links, services, and a community intended to create the highest efficiency and effectiveness editors and journalists.
Merriam-Webster	Online dictionary featuring daily crosswords and podcasts, a word of the day, and English as a Second Language (ESL), plus new visual and kids sections.
The Well-Fed Writer	"Income-boosting resources for commercial writers." Mr. Bowerman's site, books, blog, and other tools make the commercial writing business understandable and attainable.
Writer's Digest	"Write Better. Get Published." Hosts a magazine, competitions, online workshops, tips, and plenty of links. Also features specific authors, books, and articles.
Writer's Market	"The Essential Online Tool for Writers." Search updated market listings, learn from experts, and enjoy the testimonials and free newsletter. Subscription-based.
Your Dictionary	"The last word in words." Lots of language tools, articles, and other research. Features translation to other languages and specialized term glossaries.

Animation Factory	More than 500,000 royalty-free animations for web sites, email, PowerPoint, video production, and more. Features three different membership levels.
Boogie Jack	Dennis "offers excellent web design tutorials written in plain English, as well as many other webmaster resources. Learn from a three-time published author on web design."
Eos Development	Eos creates some of the most inventive web backgrounds and textures ever seen. There seems no end to the variety. They also feature poetry and other small projects.
W3 Schools	"The best things in life are free." Free web building and design tutorials, plus references and do-it-yourself examples. Largest web site of its kind.
Webmasters	"Put your trust in us." Everything for today's web master, including hosting, design, traffic analysis, servers, and domain names.

BUSINESS
Better Business Bureau	"Start With Trust." Find an accredited business, or learn about subjects such as identity theft, filing a complaint, or dispute resolution.
Constant Contact	E-mail marketing engine with plenty of newsletter tips and a user community. Other features include online surveys, marketing seminars, and cool templates.
Linked In	Network with other business people, catch up with old classmates, or find a new job. Find opportunities via colleagues and people you already know.
Merchant Services Group	"Accept credit cards for your business direct with the largest credit card processor in the USA. Don't be tricked into using a third party."

CITIZEN JOURNALISM
Constant Content	Sell your article, tutorial, or other written feature for use on another web site. Various use liscences are offered, and your writing must follow strict guidelines.
eHow	"How To Do Just About Everything." Write and post step-by-step instructions on almost any process you can think of. Include pictures and videos, too.
Helium	"Learn what you need, share what you know." Home to many writers who wish to earn some change in perpetuity while honing their craft, writing for the web, and more.
