My Background...

Vision

Good communication is vital in today's eclectic, sometimes stressful society. If miscommunication is rampant, then details are lost and sometimes even battles are fought. While this concept may be entertaining within the confines of Shakespeare or a sitcom, it only curtails our goals here in the real world. I started Elite Writing Enterprises to help foster succinct communication and expression of thought among everyone.

History

I was born in Washington D.C. and raised in Montgomery County, Maryland. As a teenager I excelled at reading and finding spelling mistakes, and my mother would often ask me to proofread her work documents as a sort of "second pair of eyes". By the time I reached my last year of college, writing was becoming a big interest, and since then I have delved into editing, proofreading and other related topics.

Education

I earned a Bachelor of Science in 1991 from Towson State University in Baltimore, with a major in Geography and a minor in Music. Having worked for the FAA since college, I've learned quite a lot about the aeronautical world and governmental writing in general. I continue to read and take classes to increase my knowledge and awareness of all things literary, business-related and web-based. Gotta keep up with the times!

Personal

Part of my time is devoted to being a musician, arranger, and conductor around the Washington, Baltimore, and Annapolis areas, and many places in between. Other peripheral interests include, but are not limited to: acting, architecture, astronomy, British humor, cooking, digital art, Italian food, investing, Japanese culture, key lime pie, publishing, model railroading, swing dance, travel, and of course, web site design. I hope to learn more about these and many other subjects through the writing industry and its vast array of experts.
